Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21 September 2026

This page sets out what information playsweeps.org and slots.playsweeps.org collect when you visit or sign up, what we do with it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. Please read it before you give us your email address.

1. Who We Are — the Data Controller

playsweeps.org and slots.playsweeps.org are owned and operated by Mount Media Limited, a company established in Malta (EU). Mount Media Limited is the data controller for the personal data described on this page — in plain terms, the company that decides why and how your data is used.

We are a publisher and affiliate. We rank, review and link to sweepstakes and social casino operators that accept players in the United States. We take no stakes, and no gaming account is ever opened on our servers.

For anything about your data, email contact@playsweeps.org.

2. Who This Site Is For

Everything published here is written for an audience aged 21 or over.

Social and sweepstakes rules are written state by state, and a handful of states shut these platforms out altogether. Checking what applies where you are sitting is your responsibility, and it is worth doing before you register anywhere we link to.

3. What We Collect Automatically

When you open any page here, our servers and analytics keep the same basic technical notes that almost every website keeps:

  • the IP address you connect from and the rough area it maps to
  • your device, operating system, browser and screen size
  • the pages you open, when you open them and how long you stay
  • the link, search or advert that sent you our way
  • cookies, and any campaign or click identifier carried in the link you arrived on (see sections 8 and 10)

That data tells us which pages are broken, which guides people genuinely read, which campaigns bring visitors, and where the site is running slow. Browsing alone never involves a name, a password or a card number, and we hold none of them.

4. What We Collect When You Sign Up

Some of our pages offer a free newsletter with the latest sweepstakes and social casino offers. If you fill in the sign-up form, we collect:

  • your email address
  • the landing page you signed up on
  • a click or campaign identifier from our tracking partner, RedTrack, so we know which campaign brought you
  • a record of your consent — the time you ticked the consent box and the exact wording you agreed to
  • your IP address, used for security, rate-limiting and bot checks

To keep bots off the form we may use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile processes signals from your browser to tell a person from a script; Cloudflare explains what it does with them in its own privacy policy. We also check that the address you typed is well formed and can receive mail before it goes on our list.

Signing up is optional. You can skip the form and use the site without it.

5. How We Use Your Data and the Legal Basis

We use your data for a short list of purposes, each with a legal basis under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Sending you the newsletter you asked for. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time — see section 6.
  • Measuring our campaigns — which pages, links and adverts bring visitors and sign-ups — and paying our referral partners correctly. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in running and funding a free site.
  • Securing the site — stopping bots, abuse and fraudulent sign-ups. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Meeting our legal obligations, such as keeping proof of consent and opt-outs and answering lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not use your data to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

6. Email Marketing and How to Unsubscribe

We only email you if you gave us your address and ticked the consent box. You can stop the emails whenever you like, in any of three ways:

We process every request promptly, and at the latest within 10 business days. Unsubscribing stops our marketing emails; it does not by itself delete your data or opt you out of the “sharing” described in section 10. If you want either of those, see section 12.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it:

  • Your subscriber record in our email platform (SendX) — kept for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, SendX keeps your address only so that it stays unsubscribed.
  • Lead records on our own systems — your email address, the landing page you signed up on, the click identifier and your consent record — deleted automatically 24 months after they were collected.
  • Our suppression list — addresses that have unsubscribed — kept indefinitely, because keeping it is the only way to make sure we never email them again.
  • Security counters used for rate limiting and bot checks — expire within hours.
  • Web-server logs — our hosting provider keeps standard server logs under its own retention policy.

We keep data longer only where the law requires it, for example to prove consent or to deal with a legal claim.

8. Cookies and Similar Files

Cookies and similar files (such as browser storage) let us count visits without counting you twice and attribute clicks on partner links correctly. We set no login or preference cookies. The cookies in use are:

  • our tracking partner RedTrack sets a cookie named rtkclickid-store, which holds a click identifier and lasts 30 days. It is used to attribute your visit, and any sign-up, to the campaign that brought you here, and it lets a visit to an operator be matched to that same campaign
  • Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools it loads set cookies to measure traffic; each is governed by its own terms

Blocking or clearing cookies in your browser is entirely your call — every major browser lets you do it from its privacy settings, and a private window discards them when you close it. The site will still work; the only effect is that a visit or sign-up may no longer be matched to the campaign that brought you here.

9. Links Out to Operators

A large share of the buttons on this site point at third-party gaming brands. Follow one and register, and that operator may pay us a referral fee. From the moment you leave this site their privacy policy applies in place of ours, so give it a read before handing over any details.

10. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the companies that help us run the site, each bound by a contract to use it solely on our instructions:

  • SendX — our email service provider, which stores subscriber addresses and delivers the newsletter on our behalf
  • RedTrack — our tracking partner, for click attribution and conversion tracking
  • Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools it loads — for traffic measurement
  • our hosting provider — which stores the site, its database and its server logs

When you follow a link to an operator, the click identifier travels with the link so the operator can tell us the referral came from us. Anything else the operator collects is what you give them on their own site, under their own policy. Partners may also receive aggregate figures that identify nobody.

Under California law, passing identifiers to advertising or affiliate partners can count as “sharing” even when no money changes hands. You can opt out of that by emailing us — see section 12.

11. International Transfers

Mount Media Limited is established in Malta, inside the European Union. Some of the providers listed in section 10 process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

If you live in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we transfer your data outside those areas only under safeguards recognised by law — an adequacy decision from the European Commission (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us if you would like more detail on the safeguard used for a particular provider.

12. Your Rights

If you live in the EEA or the UK (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
  • correct it if it is wrong or incomplete
  • erase it (the “right to be forgotten”)
  • restrict how we use it while a question about it is sorted out
  • receive the data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including direct marketing
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it
  • complain to a supervisory authority — ours is the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta, and you can also go to the authority in your own country

If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law (CCPA/CPRA and similar), you have the right to:

  • know what personal information we collect about you, where it comes from, why we use it and who we share it with, and to access it
  • delete it
  • correct it
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
  • limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any)
  • be treated no differently for exercising any of these rights (no discrimination)

To opt out of sharing, email contact@playsweeps.org with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”. We act on opt-out requests within 15 business days, as California law requires. Unsubscribing from our emails stops the emails only; it does not opt you out of sharing.

How to exercise any of these rights. Email us at contact@playsweeps.org from the address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address, so that nobody else can act on your account. We answer within one month under the GDPR and within 45 days under the CCPA; if a request is unusually complex we may extend that once, and we will tell you if so. Making a request costs nothing. An authorised agent may act for you if you have given them written permission; we may check with you directly before we act on it.

13. Children

This site is for adults aged 21 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has given us their details, email us and we will delete them promptly.

14. Security

Every connection to the site is encrypted with TLS. Access to subscriber data is limited to the people and providers who need it to do their job, and each provider is bound by contract to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, though, so we cannot promise absolute security — only that we take it seriously and act quickly if something goes wrong.

15. Changes to This Page

This policy is revised whenever our tooling changes or the law moves. Whatever is published here is the version in force, and the effective date at the top tells you when it last changed, so it is worth a glance now and then. If a change matters for how we use subscribers’ data, we will also tell you by email.
